What do I do if I can’t join a meeting?

If you're having trouble joining a Microsoft Teams meeting, follow these steps to resolve the issue and successfully access your class.

1. Access the meeting through Teams 

Instead of joining through a meeting link, follow these steps to access your class directly through Teams.


2. Check Your Internet Connection

A poor or unstable internet connection might prevent you from joining the meeting. Try the following. 

  • Ensure your device is connected to a stable Wi-Fi network. 
  • If Wi-Fi is unreliable, try using an Ethernet cable for a more stable connection. 
  • Use your phone’s mobile hotspot as an alternative connection. 
  • Restart your router if you experience connectivity issues. 



3. Sign Out and Sign Back In 

Sometimes, logging out and logging back into Teams can resolve access issues



4. Update Your Browser

An outdated browser may cause problems.

5. Try a Different Browser or Device

If you still can't join the meeting, try using a different device or supported browser, such as Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, or Safari.
