To ensure your lessons run smoothly on Microsoft Teams, you’ll need a device that meets the minimum requirements below. Most up-to-date computers will work, but it’s a good idea to check before your first session.
Device Requirements
For Windows Users:
- Operating System: Windows 10 or newer
- Processor: 1.1 GHz dual-core or faster
- Memory (RAM): 8 GB or more
- Storage: At least 3 GB of free space
- Graphics: DirectX 9 or later
- Browser: Latest version of Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome
How to Check:
- OS, Memory & Processor:
Go to Start Menu > Settings (gear icon) > System > About
- Storage:
Open File Explorer > Click This PC > Check space under Local Disk (C:)
- Browser Version:
Open your browser > Click the menu (three dots) > Help > About
For macOS Users:
- Operating System: macOS Ventura (13) or newer
- Processor: Intel Core Duo or Apple Silicon (M1 or newer)
- Memory (RAM): 4 GB or more
- Storage: At least 1.5 GB of free space
- Browser: Latest version of Google Chrome
How to Check:
- OS, Memory & Processor:
Click the Apple Logo (top-left corner) > About This Mac
- Storage:
In About This Mac > Click More Info > View Storage - Browser Version:
Open Chrome > Click the menu (three dots) > Help > About Google Chrome
Important: We recommend using a desktop or laptop computer for all lessons. Tablets, iPads, and smartphones are not supported.
